When experiencing issues with Outlook, always start with running some of the Outlook switches and then go on to other steps. Some of the commonly used Outlook switches are given below for your convenience, you just have to select the one according to the kind of problem you are facing with Outlook.
Click Start then choose Run command then type each of the following commands followed by <
1: Outlook /Safe (Opens the outlook in Safe mode)
2: Outlook /Cleanprofile (cleans the profile)
3: Outlook /cleanfreebusy (while using meeting planner to check the freebusy information)
4: Outlook /cleanreminders (Clean the reminders)
5: outlook /cleanviews
Last but not the least, a Detect and Repair will resolve most of your Outlook related issues. To start detect and repair, click on Helpin Outlook and select Detect and Repair.
If you are using MS Office 2007, you can use the Office Diagnostics feature - click Help - > Office diagnostics to let Outlook automatically detect problems and repair itself. (In fact all other MS Office applications, like MS Word, Excel etc also have the Office Diagnostics option.)
If that does not work, create a new Outlook profile for the user.
